Alana Maria is an LA-rooted, Bay Area–based dancer, choreographer, and creative director known for her refined style, technical precision, and captivating presence on and off the dance floor. With over eight years of experience in performance, competition, and instruction, she has cultivated a movement quality that seamlessly blends sensuality, musicality, and intention.

In 2024, Alana founded AMPLIFIED Dance Company, a brand and collective designed to inspire and elevate dancers of all backgrounds. Rooted in femininity, self-expression, and empowerment, AMPLIFIED focuses on Bachata, Salsa/Latin Fusion, and Heels, creating a space where artistry and confidence meet.

As a multi-title champion, over 20 titles,  across Amateur, Pro-Am, and Open divisions, Alana has established herself as a respected competitor in both Salsa and Bachata on an international level. Her work as a choreographer reflects a deep understanding of connection, storytelling, and dynamic partnerwork, while her training background in kinesiology informs a thoughtful and body-aware approach to movement.

Alana continues to teach and perform throughout the Bay Area and beyond, offering an elevated dance experience that prioritizes growth, expression, and community.

Training & Foundation

Alana holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Applied Fitness, and holds a Minor in Dance; supporting her intentional and sustainable approach to movement. Her training spans Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and advanced Salsa and Bachata under internationally recognized artists, allowing her to merge technical excellence with expressive versatility.

She is also certified in multiple fitness and movement modalities, bringing a strong understanding of body mechanics, conditioning, and performance longevity into her work. 

She has intentionally pursued advanced teaching methodology, developing the ability to instruct across all levels and learning styles. She holds a Bachata Sensual Instructor Certification under Jorge Iglesias and Aroa Alvarado, and during her time with Clave y Tumbao, she was further mentored and trained in instructional techniques under the direction of its leadership.
